Due to recent comments sent to me by a Dreamer, I think I will be taking a long break from Dreams in which I might not return. I do not wish to annoy other's and I am too thin skinned to take some messages. Hopefully I'll return at some point.

The globe model was likely hand sculpted using the grid technique. First the globe is split into its altitude and longitude to build squares on the globe. Then with help of a global map, you can copy each little square, one at a time. Its very accurate.
