New gas station area is good. The world leaves you questioning what's going on. Why is there a pentagram in the bedroom, and skulls & candles throughout the house? Why is the sink full of gore and a small dead thing in the entry hall? Why are there-

Promising! It's still much too early to be sure, but I like the general direction of this.
But that super-slow walking speed in the 2nd area...I can hardly imagine a bigger disincentive to continue playing x_x
Any chance you'd consider boosting it?

-mangled corpse? Another idea would be to feature Skully the Skeleton and Haunty the Ghost from the Haunted PS1 Demodisc community. Could be encountered as neighbors in your neighborhood, and invite you to pass-n-play on their Haunted PS1.

I remember a recent PS1 style horror game came out where you play a fast food delivery guy driving along a haunted stretch of road. Maybe an encounter could include encountering a crashed pizza delivery truck and eating the pizza next to the driver's-
