This is so good already. One idea I had is that it would be more dramatic if the rumbling stopped during the fall and suddenly happened on waking up.

How did you get the camera movement this amazing and detailed? Is it all hand-animated? If I had to give one point of improvement, it's that the final looks a little static, maybe do that jaws-zoom subtly, and lift the head a bit off of the covers.

The cover photo ruins the surprise at the end. Maybe it could be a view of the start of the roller coaster ride.
