    You should tweak the triger zones for the checkponts so you cannot just go past them.
    Also, make sure to have the checkpoint arrows pointing the direction the player should be facing when they respawn.

    I'd suggest adding music, maybe more sound effects? Just felt too quiet.

    If you add something early on that requires slower maneuvering, that will indicate that the player should take their time. I thought it was just a sped run to the end kind of thing, until I realised one of the land masses was moving.
